YMCA Core Values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and CaringThe Big Cove YMCA Camp program is designed to help youth grow as individuals while promoting cooperation with others in a safe, supportive community. The Big Cove program is designed to enhance an awareness of the YMCA Core Values – Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring.

Campers learn responsibility by keeping their cabins clean and sharing with chores around camp; they learn respect by living in small groups in rustic cabins and living in harmony with the natural environment; they learn to care for themselves and others in the close knit camp community; they are encouraged to be honest with themselves and others each and everyday. At Big Cove we believe these values promote confidence, trust and self-awareness, giving youth the tools they need to achieve their goals.

We build strong kids, strong families, strong communities. The YMCA is a charitable association of volunteers and staff dedicated to the development of individuals and communities in spirit, mind and body.

YMCA Strong Kids

YMCA Strong Kids opens doors through financial assistance ensuring that no child is turned away. Donations are gratefully accepted any time of the year.
