Director's Welcome

Dear Big Cove Family,

At Big Cove YMCA Camp we strive to continue providing top quality care, nutritious food and exciting programming for your children in a beautiful outdoor setting.  Our well trained staff members have a more extensive array of qualifications and experiences than ever and many of them have been campers themselves, understanding the profound personal growth that can happen among a group or campers and their counsellors. 

Truly, the best part of my job, year after year is seeing the growth of Big Cove campers, whether over a one week period, or over many years, as they progress to our leadership programs and become responsible young adults.  Having recently become a father myself, I appreciate the concerns of parents sending their greatest treasures to Big Cove YMCA Camp for the first time, and I would be happy to speak with you personally and answer any questions you might have regarding your child’s experience this summer.

This year we have many fresh attractions at Big Cove, including our new high and low challenge courses, and enhanced programming in nearly all aspects of camp life.  The summer of 2012 will be new and exciting while holding true to a tradition in camping excellence that is all Big Cove.  If you are new to camp, come join the fun and if you have been before, welcome home!
